"Even fresh out of the box, I was struck by its extension, tonal accuracy, and realistic soundstage, especially when compared to CD copies and downloads of the same recordings... An additional week of break-in has opened up the sound even more." [HK, USA]
Breaking News: Reflex M At Bristol Sound & Vision 2014! - Q Acoustics are to use the Reflex M phono stage in their vinyl set-up at the Bristol show, 21-23 February.
The Reflex M phono stage is for Moving Magnet, Moving Iron and High-Output Moving Coil phono cartridges in the sensitivity range 1.5 to 10mV.
This latest version introduced 2012 incorporates our ultra-linear innovations making for an even more natural and dynamic signature-free sound — the way music should be.
The Reflex M phono stage makes music like no other phono stage. It's sound stage is rock steady, having both width and depth, placing the music beyond the speakers. In a great sounding system its spatial capabilities are so lifelike it can often trick the ears into layering instruments vertically too!
It uses our ultra-linear fast active phono stage technology, combined with its true small and large signal symmetrical slew-rate, to pull more music from the groove and relegate vinyl nasties like clicks and pops further into the background.
In layman's language, our fast active phono stage technology means the circuit completely "forgets" the music it reproduced 0.06 micro-seconds before. That means there is no veil over the music, nor ever can be.
Ultra-linear - as close as you can get to valves (tubes) with the reliability and repeatability of solid state - never overloads like bi-polar transistors (BJTs). The cartridge is never called on to drive the voltage amplifier stage (VAS) integrator capacitor (like it is with integrated MM/MC phono stages), so it never destroys the music's integrity enabling you to relax deeper into the music.
The Reflex M is strong on tonal perfection and low on tonal distortion, rendering each instrument and voice in its exact register, underpinned with a detailed tuneful bass.
Although there is a dedicated moving coil Reflex – the Reflex C, the Reflex M phono stage can be coupled with the Elevator EXP electronic step-up "transformer" to provide the ultimate moving coil listening experience.

Media Reviews
"I had on hand an older Graham Slee phono preamp, the Era Gold Mk.V - when I'd first listened to it, in January 2004, its highly accomplished sound took me be surprise. After re-familiarizing myself with the Era Gold's sound, I listened to the Reflex M and was surprised all over again...It was fast, clean, three-dimensionally solid, way more transparent...and made for mighty inviting listening - even through the Prince of Price No Limit's megabuck system"
